In Response To: Re: The Theory that Starts a NEW Discussion (Summa (Metatron) : I'm not exactly sure I follow what you're trying to get across here??? : You're are correct on this point. I made a typo surrounding the 18 day trip
: -Metatron No it makes some sense from sci-fi standpoint, that's not the problem but this is how i see it: The problem occurs when the actual time travel happens. Way I see it, the reaction to time travel doesnt appear untill the time time is actually travelled. Lets live MC's life, he meets Guilty Spark. At this present time, there has not been time traveling. Therefore, there is no changes in the past. Fast forward, time traveling occurs, and he goed back to halo and meets guilty spark. From THAT moment on, history is changed, and Guilty spark would comment in history on him 'returning'. I mean when they havent time travelled yet, the effects of time travel can't be seen right? So A. I think time travel (in the past) is in itself a paradox dumbing down a story, but also, in this case it seems misplaced. Since happenings don't occur before the action could've taken place. If he was 'reciting' the past, after the actuall traveling, then it would make sense more! -To me. :)- So anyways, I hope i'm making that clear, it's just seems like the right way to perceive such possible travel. Then coming to the different timelines thing, which is a total disaster for story's, since it basically transforms one universe, to another. So i'm hoping it's not time travel, but the theory you make sure seems plausible autside of the thing i pointed out about the reaction not being visible before the action. That's not really the point. For example: some friend of mine in a dungeons and dragon's session long ago found a way to become immortal. He said, when I die, i come back from the future to resurrect myself with this rod of resurrection - thus making it possible for myself to go back into the past to resurrect myself. You catch my drift? He can't because he's dead. If it worked, only some intention of time travel in the past would be visible in the 'now'. hat would be a pretty chaos. :) No to mention make no sense nor logic. So if they go back in time, the occurances should happen in the past, as they happen in the future when they travel time. Thats basically what I'm saying. So guilty spark wouldnt be able to tell them they got back, untill they actually did, which is actually in the 'future past'. :)) |
