If this is an argument for not including the books plotline, and I'm not exactely sure if it is, then I would say the players who haven't read the books will be lost, as well as those who have read the books. How is Johnson's situation going to be explained? I imagine using the elements presented in the book, but it wouldn't make sense, from an Bungie's perspective, to pick and choose certain events and characters from the books that will be included in the games. They will have to explain Johnson's situation from the standpoint of the books; therefore, I say Bungie won't singularly pick and choose "plausable" events/characters from the books, to include in the game:)
