This is just a question of point of view. Since it's made of unbreakable lines, any depiction you make of it will be topologically equivalent to any other.

Actually, a single bond has one shared electron, a double bond has two, etc (one of the atoms in each bond is "short" an electron prior to the bond's formation - that's why free radical ions bond so readily, for instance). Interesting observation, but there's no way to make any remotely real organic molecule from the indicated bonds between the dials (one carbon atom would have eight bonds, two would have five).

The spatial depiction is neat, but from the last clue I'm now thinking it might be a dead end.
