You know, Claude didn't say it wasn't a letter. If I remember correctly, someone asked him about it being Greek or Aramaic, or something, when he made the "friggin ballpark" comment.

Maybe it is a letter, but not in a Middle-Eastern language, or even in a normal "spoken" language. Someone else mentioned shorthand yesterday. I looked around for a while, but didn't find any shorthand alphabets. I also saw some references to "speedwriting" and how cursive-like it is, but didn't find a picture of that alphabet, either.

Anyone know much about arcane or odd written languages?
