: and Blake (as far as I can tell) still gets away after activating Thoth.
Blake and his men all surrendered after A Converted Church. Although the terminals on Son of Grendel, of course, are all about as clear as a mixture of molasses and coal tar, the level generally gives the impression that a fair amount of time has passed in between the two levels. So, Blake and his men probably got shipped off-world to a horrific fate at the conditioning facility on Gr'ndl Prime. :-( It's the main thing that prevents me from being able to reconcile the two timelines, personally.
: The only thing different is that Durandal is now Thoth|Durandal, but I don't
: think the M2 end screen has anything that really proves that
: "Durandal" is not actually Thoth|Durandal; especially that
: he/they refused to tell about what they knew about the Jjaro (balance,
: remember?) and that he didn't want humanity to forget him.
The description of Durandal's attitude in the M2 finale definitely sounds more like the old, arrogant Durandal rather than the more balanced and boring entity we had at the end of Infinity. Thoth|Durandal never really gives the impression that he'd give a damn whether humanity remembered him or not.
