: This is a run punch. It was first noticed shortly after the Marathon demo was
: released (Nov 1994). It was documented in the fan-made Marathon FAQ which
: came out at the end of Nov 1994. Most of this stuff is all gone now. Back
: in the day is was pretty common knowledge, so much so that few people
: bothered to document it. There is some mention of run punching in the
: Spoiler Guide (see the Arrival level). If you watch any of the films at
: the Vidmaster page you will see run punching in action. If you are using
: Aleph One only the M2 and Infinity films will work.

The nice thing about this video is that it shows the original version of Marathon being played.
