If I did make such a replacement, it would only be for a specific scenario/levels that would capitalize on the advantages of 3-round bursts--lots of up close fighting against enemies that that need between 3 and 6 hits from an AR round to take out. In this case, the grenade launcher wouldn't be any use because you'd most likely take damage from it each time you used it.

Other than these uses, I'd just make this an add-on weapon to the canonic arsenal.
