1. fighting ghouls - you don't have to use your pistol to interrupt their attacks. you see, if you hold the space bar down and automatically stab, you won't be quite fast enough and they'll have windows in which to hit you. the key is to stab them manually - keep tapping the space bar at the right frequency, and you'll stunlock them.
also, the ghouls always throw lefty, and you can use this to your advantage at times.
2. undertale is everywhere on the internet it seems. not that I'm complaining, it's an excellent game, I just wasn't expecting to see a reference here.
3. all the references were a bit much. there's much to be said for conciseness.
4. keep in mind that greed/blue meanie shoots fireballs at you. it seems that he's capable of continuous combustion, so it makes sense that he'd burst into flames upon death.
