Nice to hear these thoughts again, it's been a while since anyone has really talked about the Forerunners as genetically creating or altering other races. What makes you think that the Forerunners may have been able to control the Flood at all? Why wouldn't then Halo have a telepathic way of stopping the Flood? Or maybe these Flood are resistant to telepathy because they are just spores, rangers, and warriors?
