In Response To: Gamespy Preview of PC HALO (coexist) : It's finally online. we know 3 of 6 names
we know they're gonna be at least somewhat based on environments we've already seen, to some extent. we know they're PROBABLY all going to support vehicles, so that rules out a lot of single player environments, because only a few are big/open enough to support vehicular combat. we've seen screenshots from 2 maps, it seems: gryphyrophobia and another (danger canyon maybe?). gryphyrophobia is based on the control room bridges (bases inside pyramids?? blast doors in multiplayer??), and we've seen one shot. the other is obviously based on the cliffs from "Halo" - is this danger canyon? we know that at least some maps will have shade emplacements (it was mentioned for gryphyrophobia). and, the article seems to imply that vehicles will respawn... does this mean everything will be destroyable? that might change some strategies. i can't wait! one thing i hope is some level of interactivity in these maps, like half life had in its original multiplayer maps. one map had a chamber that could be flooded with the push of a button... i would at least like to see moveable blast doors or something on these maps. any other thoughts? | |
