Most profiles are amazingly uninformative. I'll try to do better:
Me: 31, male, Seattle.
Video Games: Xbox is the only console I've ever purchased. Halo is one of only two games that I play (RalliSport is the other) and it's the only reason I got the Xbox. I played at a friend's house and got completely hooked.
Favorites Aspects of Halo:
Weapon: Human Pistol, then the Rocket Launcher.
Weapon combo: Human Pistol and Plasma Pistol, unless I'm facing the flood, then it's Shotgun with AR.
Map: Silent Cartographer, then AOTCR.
Multi-Player Map: Hang Em High, then Battle Creek (I've only played with 2-3 others at a time.
Controller: S-type, mostly because of the location of the black and white buttons, and the NSEW layout of the gem buttons (or whatever they're called). Update - after months of using the S-type I switched to the original controller and think it's just fine too.
Controller Settings: Default with Look Sensitivity set to 7 or 8.
Marine quote: "Do I owe you money?!?"
Grunt quote: "Bad cyborg!"
Opinions:
Toughest Part of the Game: The f'ing room you first enter in the Truth and Reconciliation after hopping on the gravity lift (the Belly of the Beast).
Easiest Part of the Game: Driving to the Longsword in the Maw. The first time I played I assumed this would be really hard since it was clearly the end of the game. I was surprised that it only required decent driving, no strategy, and no shooting. Kind of a letdown.
Worst thing about Halo: Repetitive rooms on AOTCR.
Best thing about Halo: Everything else, but especially the graphics.
Best thing Halo 2 could have: Built-in instant replay or recording so that matches could be watched straight from the Xbox.
Best trick: Grenade jumping, especially when snagging an overshield. Also, anything else done by Frogblast, though I don't have the patience/persistence to replicate most of them.
Best movie(s): RvB series, Haliens, Randall Glass's original Warthog Jump.
Other Stuff:
Family: Married, two kids.
Music: Blues (Taj Mahal, Dr. John, Leadbelly), Rock (Scorpions, Stones, Ozzy), and Folk (John Prine, Iris DeMent, Woody).
TV: Smallville is amusing fun, IFC and Sundance channel get the most play in my house. Everything else stinks, and yeah, even the Simpsons. They stopped being funny about 5 years ago.
Outdoors: Snowboarding in the winter, softball in the spring/summer.
