In Response To: Bungie is Satan: Possible complete...stupidly long (Ross Mills) “He who has an ear, let him hear.” You probably will get a bit confused what I am about to say, but I’ll try to clear a few things up before I start.
Revelations 12: 3
Bungie has 7 series’ of games released
These may be the 7 crowns, or achievements that the devil has. Revelations 13: 1-4 “And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. The beast I saw resembles a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority. One of the heads of the beast seemed to have a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was astonished and followed the beast. Men worshipped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, “Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?” This is the antichrist, the antichrist may be Halo. The fact that it too has ten horns and seven heads shows that it is very similar to the first beast, or what the first beast, Bungie, has done. (ie Marathon) The 10 horns or crowns may be Halo’s 10 levels. The beast had feet of a bear – these are powerful, using the Xbox’s power
Bungie created Halo – “The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority.” “One of the heads of the beast seemed to have a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was astonished and followed the beast,” – When Microsoft bought Bungie for use of Halo, it sent a shockwave throughout the gaming community, there were many people who believed this was an insanely bad move, had ruined the game and they thought it would never come out on the PC or Mac… This may be the “Wound” which was “healed”. Most of the gaming community was astonished by the fact that it turned out very good to have been put on the Xbox, and they then played Halo…..a lot. From the quote
We have been watching Bungie in an almost religious way, we have waited for Halo 2. This may be us “worshipping the dragon” that is Satan/Bungie.
Revelations 13: 5 “The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty two months”
In the Bible, time is often……”wrong” is the wrong word to use, but the 7 years of tribulation (The end times) may very well not be 7 years. It may be 7 days, months, centuries…anything. For example, the 7 “days” of creation may not have been days, they may merely have been “stages”. The 42 months may have been weeks… Have you seen a single advert for Halo: CE recently? No, neither have I, perhaps after the 42 “months” it stopped exercising the authority…because it already had it and no longer had to prove anything. Now I will go back a bit, to Revelations 6:1-8. The four horsemen of the Apocalypse. (This is a long bit) “I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.
(Phew…that was long) Just to clear a few things up…
I believe the 4 hoursemen of the apocalypse are concepts in Halo or Halo itself “I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.” As I said at the beginning, God is not actually giving the antichrist this power, he is allowing it as a challenge for the people of Earth so that he may create his kingdom eventually. So the concept of giving the rider a bow is a metaphor of the antichrist creating war or battles. The antichrist (Halo) obviously has many battles, and has been bent on conquest of the games chart: it has succeeded in this. “When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saw “Come!” Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword.” Play a game of multiplayer Halo…go on…there you go, you are slaying each other in-game. The large sword is a metaphor for this. “When the lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures saying, ‘A quart of wheat for a day’s wages, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!’” This has been a very difficult seal to pinpoint a meaning to, and I wouldn’t be surprised if you are sceptical about this one. This may be a metaphor for famine or poverty, Xbox games cost a lot of money, and Halo is no exception. How many of you bought an Xbox for Halo alone? Oil and Wine are things that are used a lot by the rich, especially in Biblical times. Whereas wheat and barley are used by everyone, the prices are raised for these things… Thus it may be a metaphor of poorer people having difficulty in attaining Halo or an Xbox. This has been a very difficult seal to pinpoint a meaning to, and I wouldn’t be surprised if you are sceptical about this one. “When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.” Death is a major concept in Halo, as it is a first person shooter, you die a hell of a lot (no pun intended), and kill even more! There is death in Halo after someone has bought it. This is directly related to the “sword” of the battles. The famine happens when you have less money due to buying Halo. The “Plague” it speaks of… I ask you, what is the plague in Halo? The Flood of course! This is a major player in the key development of Halo’s back story, the book of Halo is even going to be called “Halo: The Flood”. The “wild beasts of the earth” may be the covenant, as they are not human, but they are trying to kill you. Hope you enjoyed that... Ross | |
