In Response To: NEW BUNGIE.NET POLL (Miguel Chavez)

: I urge all folks out there that have *any* interest in taking part in the
: next Halo National Tournament to visit: http://www.bungie.net/

: and vote in the current poll. Please consider your answer carefully.

: Figure that a team is more than likely defined as 4 *slots* in the
: tournament. So total fee for entry is 4x whichever fee you vote for.

: Discussion is encouraged.

This will never happen, forget it. It's illogical. J/K ;P

Our local tourneys draw too many people and it becomes a real nightmare to manage, there's alot of waiting around, etc. The fees have typically been $10 per team, so each person only has to cough up $2.50 in change out of their couch. This way it's open to everybody and nobody gets left out just because they're broke, but 160 people showed up when we were expecting 60. I suggested that the fee be upped so that only serious players would participate.

So, based on these experiences, I think that if you believe you can hold your own, then you should be willing to fork out around $50/team (comes to $12.50/person) to keep the wankers out and sweeten the pot.
