I don't think he presented it as anything but 'something funny'. I was the one who asked him for a film - not because he was angling for a trick submission, but because I wanted to see it, and firing up my xbox wasn't an option. The film he sent (2.1 mb) shows some odd stuff (the last bit is the most interesting - the marine is standing on the ground, shrieking like a baby). To me, it's a valid trick submission - even though it wasn't submitted as such. It's a legitimate game glitch. It's one that seems to have been totally obvious to everyone in this forum - but nobody ever pointed it out to me, and I'm not sharp enough to have picked it up on my own. (The post you pointed out simply suggested that they were screaming as you checkpointed, and therefore screamed each time you reverted to that checkpoint - which is actually interesting, since it implies that the screams are far less random than they would appear, but is a totally different issue. There's no way for me to have interpreted that as a description of this phenomenon, simply because I had never SEEN this phenomenon at that time.) | |
