In Response To: Halo Announcer (KP) : Does anyone know who the announcer in Halo is. The guy who says "game : over" and "1 minute to win" etc.? That guy rules. Yes indeed I do :). His name is Jeff Steitzer and is a local (Seattle) actor/director throughout the Puget Sound Region. I agree the stuff sounded great. I should dig through my old sessions when I get a chance and pull some "B" takes that we decided not to go with. That is when we recorded we had him go through a couple times and record one in a nice deep/gravel voice (those are the ones you hear) and then a second time pulling out all of the gravel stops he had (the kind of takes where every 1-2 lines he needed to stop for a drink of water). We opted not to use the "B"'s but boy are there some great ones in there. He earned every penny that day as I'm sure he could not speak for some hours after we were done with him...heheh. He is a friend as well and I'll ask him what other stuff you folks might have heard him in. If you live in the Seattle area he is very active stage acting/directing. Just keep your eye out for him...
