It's not clear from those pics where you are, exactly... but folks have been on top of all three sections of the second half of the level, as far as I can tell. (There were early posts - back in November - from people trying to jump from one to the other. (All unsuccessful.))

Here's a movie I made a while ago of the banshees - they do this weird perfect circling stuff until you trigger 'em; you can see them get triggered here:
