So yes you can have a one way conversation, but you won't get : direct feedback into your brain. Actually, I've seen reports of some sucess with directly bypassing the eyes and feeding image data to the brain for blind people. The image quality is TERRIBLE, but it was sufficient for them to identify the shapes of letters. :-)
