Is this because of superior video quiality, or is it out of : some sort of Mac loyalty? Most likely because there are many Mac users here. Personally, I own a imac & pc, however, I still believe the PC is superior. Mac has advantages with graphical programs/software. In terms of Quicktime, I believe it to be freakin' slow. The doom 3 video that was released on the net was in quicktime and could not even be watched. But when they released it in a windows format, it was perfect.
