1) what makes for a good movie is *action*. and not just any action, but skilled action, and lots of it. mowing down a few grunts on PoA and Halo with a plasma rifle is, well, rather ho-hum. but running through [any level] taking out grunts with precision aiming - much better. (even better than that would be taking out higher caste members with single head shots / melees- *show us the mad skills you got!*)

2) what makes for an excellent movie is action synchronized with the music. that is a pleasure to watch. i recommend the 'asshole' movie for that - it's just awesome.

3) all the text? "we don't want this split screen stuff..." no, definitely not cool

4) repeating the same play segment or reversing it, i think is generally pointless and serves only as filler. the only place i think it fits is in credits at the end (see the warthog jump) - and then only the coolest of the cool sequences.

now, as the 4 holes in my head where my wisdom teeth used to be are beginning to throb again, i need to go take my happy pills to send me back to la-la land.
