one of our many conversations that night/morning before it ended was how pathetic it was that no strat. game [or really anyother game for that matter] had replaced or taken the spot of myth. myth's an old game by industry standards; hell, a 1.5 year old computer is old. myth's server had been up for over 4 years, and that no strat multiplayer game [that had free server too!] could outmatch myth is a testament to how good bungie is. it was fun, i loved the community, the mods, the long nights. . . .

of course we can still play it; there's LAN, tcp/ip, gameranger, marius, and hell we DO have the code. and there'll be halo mutli later. but even then, sitting in that room at 3 in the morning felt like waiting for the end of the world; it was like sitting in a dark nuclear bunker waiting for the asteriod to hit you on the head. and when the blue highlighted words "The Time Has Come." showed up , it felt like God was calling you to the other side of life, or the Angel of Death was at your doormat. it was odd. and ya, it was the end of an era of gaming for me. its not like i played myth everynight, but man, that was the official end for me. but it was fun and i enjoyed that one last night.

but with the end, there's always the beginning. . . .
