Although this doesnt answer much, I think it's partly because of the flood, and the fact that you can blow bits of them off, the fact that they turn every living organism into a zombie and because they have all that crap sticking outta their body. Other than that, I can't see whats so bad about it. It has very little blood or gore ('cept for the flood) and the language would have only merited a teen rating, but I have though I have heard the grunts say f*** you a few times. I don't think we'll be getting a reply from Matt on this one, he must be pretty tired of this subject. ;)
