"Master Chief"? Female characters? | |

First, why a name like "Master Chief"? How about "Master Blaster" or "Tin Man"? But those names might seem too irreverent to use in some official publication. Also, are there any female characters of our species in the game? The only one I know is present is a virtual one, Cortana. And are they reasonably-dressed and reasonably-proportioned? Cortana seems to be, but is that true of the others (if any)? I'm the author of a female-Bob ("Tina Shapes" and "Tina Sounds") patches at http://archives.bungie.org that is my attempt to create some reasonably-looking female characters -- I did them in the style of the existing M2 Bobs, though with nearly shoulder-length hair. Someone seems to think that I was too successful, because he accused me of hiding those characters' femininity. As a side note, that experience convinced me to never try to create a sprite set ever again. However, most "real" computers and real-time-3D game engines nowadays have full support for 3D models, so one can say good riddance to big sprite sets.
