I used to know how to FTP into my Xbox and poke around the file system (I forget, did you have to softmod for that? Probably.) If I knew what I was looking for, I'd dive into it and attempt to extract and pass along the appropriate files. I made sure everything was downloaded, installed, and up to date before they unplugged Old Live, just for the sake of having a backup (since the 360 corrupts Xbox content). Poking around the various back alleys of the internet for an answer hasn't yielded much in terms of other solutions.
