Reach's system of earning points and buying helmets wasn't my favorite (and I still believe it's best to let each player fully customize their playable character the way they want from the get go), but it didn't force me to change the way I play or the playlists I play in order to unlock what seems to be my favorite aesthetic piece of armor (like Halo4, yuck!). It would be really disheartening (YES, disheartening, not world-ending, just disheartening!) for Bungie's new IP to implement something similar or even worse, cost you real money to buy them aka microtransactions. That would be the kind of stuff that would encourage me skipping out on the game. - MacGyver10
