Everyone groaned about ODST when it came out (price change, "short" campaign), and it does have it's flaws, but it has stood the test of time as the last great Halo game to me. Don't get me wrong, I liked Reach and I love Halo 4, but I feel that a lot of the charm and wonder (and story telling..) was lost after ODST. I mean, I cannot tell you how exciting the build up to that game was for me. Remember this?

I think part of my love for this game comes from the fact that it was the first Halo game that was released after I became fully addicted to the series (besides Halo Wars, but that doesn't really count..). I bought a 360 specifically for Halo 3, but back then I didn't really care about the story that much or the community for that matter, so the build-up was completely lost on me. ODST was my first experience with the hype and marketing of a Halo release, and it was glamorous and an experience that has never quite been lived up to again by future titles.
