In Response To: Re: I can't be the only one thinking this... *SP* (Grizzlei) : In the Didact's strategic vision, it should have mattered. Mantle's Approach : appeared to handle herself well against the Home Fleet and I doubt the : UNSC would respond differently to a superior foreign attack on Phoenix as : they would against a city that, and pardon my forwardness, actually : matters. But *if* the Didact's ship totally outclasses the Home Fleet, and the Didact was going to try and compose everyone, starting point could just have easily been determined by a Travelling Salesman algorithm (or some comparable thing for composing living beings on the surface of a rotating sphere) and neglected the suddenly negligible military-strategic considerations. //============= Granted: 1-They potentially could have done something more interesting, and 2-None of this really makes much sense. What IS the UNSC doing during all this? Halo 4 puts a ton of effort toward reminding me of Halo 3's UNSC's bizarre tendency to make sure that nobody helps the chief when he does anything important. Seriously, if it was a gameplay/art design issue, why didn't they just set it up so that, by the start of the level Halo, most everyone else was dead?
