In Response To: Re: FUD Episode 5 *SP* (Phoenix_9286) : Why did Forward Unto Dawn receive an enormous overhaul to her design, when : 343i continues to use the original design in all of their promotional : material? What the hell. And the Pelicans at the end. Those are what, D79s : now? I thought we were meant to think those were FUTURE Pelicans. So why : are they there? Why aren't they using D77s? This extends into Halo 4 : itself on an even more annoying level. The Mark VI, the HALO 3 Mark VI, is : a choice for armor in multiplayer. It's not exactly the same, but it's : much closer than what he's wearing in campaign. So why the HELL did they : futz with the look of his armor, if they were going to stick the original : in multiplayer? I'd guess with both Chief's armor and the FUD, (the ship) 343i wanted a "fresh feel" and I get that....personally, I found the back end of the original FUD to be really uninteresting. It is kind of weird that they would then go and use the same frigate design in the fleet around the Infinity....but they've got a few other ship designs too, and I'm really happy about that--they used just "Halcyon Class Cruisers" and the In Amber Clad frigates for way too long.... I agree that putting the new pelican gunships in FUD (the series) is totally out of place, along with the (again) armor choices. As for Chief's new armor, I'm pretty sure there have been assorted hints and perhaps outright explanations about its change....it is mentioned in Glasslands, and in some of the Waypoint Updates....as for the MK VI in multiplayer, I think it is just a throwback for fans of the armor. I was very pleased to see that practically the entire suit is recreated, instead of it just being the helmet. : These are choices I don't understand at all, and they make me roll my eyes
I agree here too....I really like 343i's initiative to make more things connect and be consistent, and I think they are doing pretty well, but again, certain decisions seem questionable--almost as if they aren't paying attention. Those people have a lot of very discerning fans to deal with....I love them.
