Who's the writer for Halo 4? | |

I've been wondering this for a while. Usually they don't announce the writers in advance, but it's still going to be interesting to see whether it's someone previously familiar with the universe or someone completely new. Now that Staten is out of the question, the next best thing to me would be Eric Nylund. He's intimately familiar with the expanded universe and the characters, since he created most of it. Now that 343i is bringing more EU elements in the games, he'd be right at home. Nylund's blog has been awfully quiet for a while so it's a possibility at least. Whoever it is, I sure hope it's not Karen Traviss. If this was the case, I wouldn't be surprised if the Chief was turned into a tormented wreck of a person and Cortana would suddenly start bashing him for all the people he's killed. The planet they're heading to would turn out to not matter at all, besides having a garage and some fold-out furniture. After meaninglessly bickering with Cortana for a while, the Chief would be arrested by a group of previously-unseen but suddenly important characters (the new protagonists) for "stealing" the Forward Unto Dawn and Cortana.
