he's talking about the way player's behaviors are influenced by the Player Investment system in Reach as well as the trappings of objective snowballing.

These may lead to the game not being fun, however it's a more specific conversation about how these things occur and maybe avoided.

You're taking a specific conversation that involves conjecture and some opinions and are trying to dilute it so that people get on either side and just shrug their shoulders going "well that's my opinion".
