In Response To: Yep, got the Banshee (Rockslider)

: Ok I've done some fresh testing and yep, you can indeed blast the Banshee
: down in the usual way. However, it does seem to be harder in CEA, which
: may explain why quite a few folk thought it was impossible. I've added a
: postscript about this to the end of the article.

: Based on my new testing, I also don't think the mode you're using makes any
: difference, other than in how you might use the patterning on the
: underside to guide your aim. After finding a reliable spot to aim at, the
: Banshee was coming down just as reliably in enhanced mode as in classic
: mode.

That's the thing, the mode SHOULDN'T make a difference, and I don't think that it does. I do think it is more difficult to do in the remaster graphics because the "sweet spot" looks a little different. In CE on xbox1 I never had any trouble getting it down once I found the spot. I could consistently nail it every time I loaded that check point or replayed the level. As for people saying it was impossible to get it down, they must never have played CE haha.

: When you switched to classic, was that after firing in enhanced mode? If so,
: the Banshee may've got nudged, setting things up for your classic rocket
: to finish off. If not, things might instead be explained by a degree of
: fickleness I noticed.

No. I shot a rocket in CEA mode, and when it hit the target nothing happened. I then switched to classic view (not moving the target indicator at all) and launched another rocket, in the exact same spot.

The Banshee tipped. It was a while ago, so its definitely possible that I "nudged" the banshee from its original spot a bit, but I can't remember. At the time, it seemed very odd and as if the new graphics were hindering the explosion.

**I know logically it doesn't work like that, but it just seemed like it at the time. Again, muscle memory probably played a part but I have not been in CEA to try it since.
