Jon's Law: Any interesting spaceship drive is a weapon of mass destruction. Kat's Corollary: Slipspace drives are intended to transition into Slipspace and carry a load with them, whether that load wants to go or not. As for Halo Wars... I can't understand how a Slipspace drive is supposed to destabilize a continuous nuclear explosion (yeah, put the smallest star you want into the miniaturized Dyson Shell, and you could bake bread on the outside surface of the shell.) or why the Forerunner would build a service elevator that takes a person up to the 'star', or how Anders could figure out how to destroy the shell like that, or how the star has enough gravity to allow the Spirit of Fire to pull off a Hollywood Gravity Slingshot. All I have is a modified Bellisario's Maxim: "Don't think about this too hard, because we didn't."
