Being a free and open source program means : that it's always updating and improving. Your'll be suprised just how : much. It's now at version 6.1b. A year ago it was at 4.2. Check it out. : Oh and best of al? You NEVER have to install it!! Cool. After using a lot of 3D programs I realize that there's a crapload of features they have to stick places and they don't seem to spend a lot of time thinking about where it goes, but I'm willing to take another look. It's certainly a powerful program, but like GIMP it was the user experience that killed any benefit of "free" for me the first time.
