: So she showed me what she had so far, and for not really knowing anything
: about Halo, she had some good stuff. She had big lasers coming down from
: the sky from silver hexagons and an explosion. I told her I liked the
: lasers and stuff (could pass for glassing, really pretty glassing), then
: showed her some Forerunner designs and architecture, some plasma
: explosions (she really liked those, the splash and electric effects are
: boss), and some space scenes with planets and stars.

: I ended showing her the Forerunner key ship for reference, then realized I
: was wearing what I was wearing, unzipped my hoodie a little and showed her
: it was on my HBO shirt. She laughed and said "I did ask the right
: person."

: So, knowing about Halo and being a bit nerdy helped me connect with a girl,
: who doesn't really play video games. I couldn't have predicted that one.

: P.S. She said her theme was "Halo" but she had to do generic and
: generalized designs over some copyrights. My question was, "If you
: can't break copyright, then why would they give you something as brand
: specific as Halo?"

: P.P.S. Also, apparently this is a part of some competition, where they could
: pick hers and make it into a snowboard for reals. then it would show up
: here as a "Look who ripped off Halo" thread. Ahh, the circle of

When you unzipped your hoodie did you say, "Bam said the lady?" The next move is to say, "I did this comic called "A fistful of Arrows. Maybe you've heard of it. It took me a month to do. I found time in-between helping 343i on their Halo Encyclopedia fact checking. I'm kind of a big deal in the Halo community but I'm just a guy trying to get by."

"No. I didn't mean Bi. I meant by. Oh really? You're walking away from a HBO icon? Bye then."
