I see it, and to me it's never more than : random acts of "what the fuck" that usually culminate in : something pretty cool. It's basically a combination of seeing weird things and doing what amount to experiments in the game, and figuring out how what you saw could be useful. Then you make a goal and figure out what actions will get you to it. Nice video. If you ever want help and I'm on, I'd probably be more than happy to join in.
