Does feel like the facemaps and physique were a local inspiration...local to Saint Petersburg.
While I'm not entirely happy about the face replacements, it does look very nice otherwise.
And I'm pretty sure they decided to add their own cinematic flair with some shots.
In almost but not quite the same way that Ryuhei Kitamura did with the Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes Gamecube remake.
Still, it is good to get back to roots.
