That's what I meant, if you grab if you can skip the bridge, the next indoor section, and the fight on the canyon floor, and in fact the first time I played I just assumed I was supposed to take it, and even after I failed a few times I went past and I didn't see the door after a few seconds so I decided I was right and kept at it until I got the Banshee, it wasn't until two or three playthroughs later I realized there was a longer route.
