It should be ok in so far as the game goes, although the bonus DVD might not work with your DVD/TV since that will definitely be in PAL format. Basically, the game itself probably won't actually be in PAL format, regardless of what it says on the case or disc. Xbox 360 games in Europe have shifted towards all being "60hz only", to the extent that they don't even put it on the games case any more. If its anything to go by, both Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) and Sonic Unleased were 60hz only, which basically means NTSC (480i, 60hz instead of 576i, 50hz). If you're using an HDTV or monitor though, this all becomes irrelevant. As far as that goes, there is no real difference. The only thing you should really have to worry about is if Sega decide to region lock the game. Most developers don't bother on the Xbox 360, its not mandatory, but some games are locked. I don't blame you for wanting the collectors edition. The statue and individually numbered gold ring are pretty tantalising for any Sonic fan who is really really hoping this game will undo the wrongs of the past decade. I know I ordered it the moment I saw it.
