By the time we got to the top : I could stick my foot out the door and give the car a little push to get : it over the top. : I had a Silverado back in the 90's that I put a lot of work into. That thing : was obnoxiously loud. It had a 4:11 gear rear end in it, so it burned : through tires like crazy. : I bought a Mustang GT back in 2005 when they came out with the current body : style. I put an aftermarket intake and computer program on it, and I had : the sweetest sounding Borla exhaust you've ever heard. I took it out : across Oklahoma and Kansas one weekend and had a blast. There's also : little highway in Arkansas that I know that winds through the Ozarks. It's : got a really fun stretch that's just continuous switchbacks, and the : outside lanes are wide enough to drift completely sideways. I drifted : those corners so hard that I scared the crap out of myself. I met a : logging truck coming around one of the switchbacks and somehow slid under : and back out of his trialer without hitting anything. Pure adrenaline. : That car didn't last too long once I had kids. One of these days I might pick : up a fun car again. Jay Leno used to say you put a bag a groceries in the passenger seat of a Chevette and you have to gear down to keep it moving. Not far from the truth. Those first new Mustangs were sweet. They keep moving a little further from the classic style, and I figure soon they'll get to where I don't like them again. Never had a really fun car. Had a few Dodge/Plymouth hatchbacks in the 90s (think Chevette with nicer interiors), and now I'm on my second Civic sedan (which I love, truthfully). I'm working toward getting really bald and fat so I can get a convertible and leer at women half my age.
