In Response To: Re: Halo creative director leaves 343. (Myyke) : Why are you worried GV? I personally found the audio in MGS4 to be top notch : and I think Tojima's experience will translate well. I haven't paid any attention to MGS and I was already iffy about the sound design we've heard so far, hearing that his different sensibilities should bring a lot of new stuff isn't encouraging... I still feel a bit shorted on monks and violins from Halo 3, ODST and Reach, and sure Halo 3 has some monks but not much, and Reach really only has violins in the main theme that I can think of. I know every soundtrack can't be what the first game had or even be very similar but dang it I like monks and violins and and synth-y sounds and deep drums, and I liked the techno-y stuff introduced in Halo 2; it seems like nothing ever came of that. We also only got one more track with guitar in it (in Reach), and it was awesome, so why not another one or two? I'm ranting but I've been silently wishing for a few games now and I didn't get what I hoped for so I might as well air out my issues. I've mentioned Justice before but I think this new song might fit better with Halo's aesthetic, or show that they could make something that fits better with that or with what people expect.
