That's sort of funny - because I HATED XB Damnation. (I was okay with it in Halo PC and Mac, because with a mouse and keyboard, I was able - well, more able - to navigate those gaps without dying - but I HATED them in the Xbox version - with a passion.) I'm THRILLED they're gone.

I wonder, though, if the removal wasn't so much "let's make it better" but "let's take Reach's lower jump height and slower run into account, and make small adjustments to layout to keep people from dying where their muscle memory would suggest they could go."
