You're not obligated to buy it after all. Not everyone cares for remastered games.

Personally, I'll be getting Halo CE Anniversary, just like I will be getting the MGS HD collection, even though I still own MGS2: Substance, MGS3 Subsistance and MGS: Peace Walker.
Hell, I think I might buy the Nintendo 3DS version of MGS3 as well.

And I'm certainly looking forward to getting the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D in less than two weeks time.

All games I've played before and many times, but they are still great games and playing an enhanced version with nicer graphics and an enhanced framerate, that's something I still enjoy.

Of course, a full remake that really adds a lot to a game, like Resident Evil (GC) or MGS: Twin Snakes is especially nice and refreshing IMO, but I'm fine with both varieties of re-release.
