Why not? : I noticed in doing research for this that Romeo is four years old when : Madrigal falls but there is no explanation of how he got off the planet. I : thought it wouldn't be a leap to assume he was on one of the colony ships. : The pickle is that four years later the Rubble is destroyed. So where did : he go? What did he do? A huge gap in his timeline. : He joins the merchant marines when he is seventeen. His requests to get into : the ODSTs is denied. I can only assume he really wanted to be an ODST : because of the Governor of Castra affair. He sleeps with the Governors : wife because the Governor knows a General who can make it happen. In my : mind, he set up a string of events to force the Governor to send him to be : an ODST. Just thinking about that kind of play is fascinating. How do you : manipulate someone like that? : But what interested me the most was that governments were still in place for : fallen colonies. The Governor of the Castra Arcology still has power. I : always thought that survivors of colony attacks would migrate to earth. : Mamore or Emerald Cove could potentially be other locations to send folks : with their officials looking after their needs until a new home is found. : And now it's 4:33am here and I'm going to sleep. Haha. : -Hedge. No matter the circumstances, those in power seldom relinquish it. :)
