If you are really hurting for MS points, and have some free time, here's a tip: Microsoft's search engine Bing has this thing called rewards points, you get credits for doing searches using the Bing Toolbar. These credits can be redeemed for real world items (Free Shipping!), or Digital Download codes. The cheapest item, and the one you probably are focused on right now, is MS points (well there are lotteries you can enter for 10 points, but those like any other lottery aren't guaranteed wins) The Catch? You have to use IE and install the Bing Toolbar. (the other catch is you need a Windows live ID, but I'm sure you already have one [it's your Bungie.net/Live login] ) But, if you can make yourself use IE for at least a few minutes a day, and don't mind installing a toolbar, then you can get at least 16 points/day (if you agree to set your homepage and default search engine to Bing; Say yes, and change it back later, you wont be penalized you for doing so), or 8 if you don't change your defaults. You get 250 points automatically just for signing up. Starting from your first day, and every 2 days from when you sign up, there are 2 suggested searches, at 12 points each (a total of 24 instant points), plus the 16 on everyday searches, for a grand total of 30 points in one day. (half everything if you didn't accept Bing as your Search Overlord) 500 total Bing points will allow you to redeem a $5 400ms points code, and you can get a maximum of 6000 MS points per account. (I don't know if the "account" refers to your Bing Account or XBL account) Now, 5 searches in the toolbar will get you 1 measly point. Argh. But, there is a workaround for the lazy and determined: Autocomplete! Type anything. Or just click the bar, and look at the Top Searches for the day. Most every topic will have more possible searches, just click the other options. You do not need to click anything on the search results page, the program is only concerned with searches performed via the toolbar plugin (so don't search via the Bing Homepage, you wont get points). Delete 1 word from your query, and a new list of possible searches will appear. This will continue exponentially. If you reach a dead end, type a new word/question/random letters, and resume. I've already redeemed 800 MS points this way, it takes no more than 20 full minutes to reach your max for the day. Enjoy!
