In Response To: Concept art of Didact's War Sphinxes*IMGs* (Leviathan) : Since I began reading, and since having finished, Greg Bear's Cryptum has : filled my head with many, many pretty visuals - and many visuals that have : no reference. And so I doodled... New ships, new characters, new locations : from a race/species/collection of species? that we barely know. We've seen : only a fraction of visuals from their side of Halo's history, and it could : be argued that this fraction could be only one element of their visual : style. Just like our industrial factories look very different than our : skyscrapers... I kept that in my mind, and took a chance in this : particular design. I liked what I was imagining with the War-Sphinx and : believed that older artifacts belonging to the Warrior-Servants may have a : more articulated, decorated style. : And I'm still working on Fistful of Arrows - be patient with me, please! I literally JUST read the parts with the War Sphinx's in them and couldn't quite get a feeling for how they looked. Now that I see this I am going to always see them like this. As always I am in awe at your artwork and would be super excited to see your art in like a "The Art of the Halo Universe" art book and I even go so far as to consider anything in "Fistful of Arrows" part of the Halo canon. :D
