Different folks and all that. Like I've said many times, I perfectly enjoyed Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes every bit as much as the original, probably more. Adding the game mechanics from MGS2 like FPS aiming view and peeking around corners, the M9 tranquilliser gun, the ability to shoot and destroy enemies radios to stop them call for help...
All these things, along with the vastly improved graphics and tweaked story line to better fit with MGS2 made the game both fresh, and for me, every bit as enjoyable as the original.
Probably more so.

Suppose with that experience, I'm rather more open minded to it all. I don't presume such a thing would ruin anything at all.
