: set back up, and get the dot on the grunt's head. Boom, grunt is dead, I
: get the "Yay!", but no confetti. Wierd. I do this for a little
: bit and then check my progress. No headshots. Wha? I go back and try
: again, but this time I shoot the ground first to wake up the grunt. Boom,
: headshot and I get credit for it. The problem was that I didn't make it
: far enough before the checkpoint, so it's still not as efficient as I
: want.

: I then decided that I was determined to kill the elite. I restarted again,
: got everything lined up, and then tried to hit him twice as fast as I
: could. After about 25 times I started getting good. After the first shot
: he would either dive behind a tree to the left, a rock to the right, run
: up the hill, pivot on his right or left foot, or start doing the "U
: Can't Snipe This" dance. The game was to try to guess which he was
: going to do and lead the 2nd shot in that direction. By the end I was
: developing a sixth sense for it.

: In the end the shortcut took longer than the long way would have. I was 20
: minutes late for work, but I finally got it.

After I realized I couldn't kill the elite with one headshot, I just moved on to the next area. A lot easier to get headshots there. I did restart the level a couple of times after I ran out of ammo, but I didn't even bother trying to headshot the elite in the beginning.
