It's a mass-market edition (small, pocket-book size like the old Halo books) with a variant cover (a blue Spartan instead of green, with a different reflection in his visor), and there's now art to go along with each short story (the majority of which came from the Waypoint contest), plus a very short (but sweet) new story concerning Forerunners entitled "Soma the Painter" (a prologue to Cryptum, possibly?). For someone who already owns a copy, it will be up to them to decide if that content warrants another buy, but it's definitely the way to go if you don't have a copy yet.
