In Response To: Thoughts on Reach (4K words) (Cody Miller) : Loadouts are kind of a mixed bag in that regard as well. Really only : Hologram, Sprint, and Jetpack seem to be useful on higher difficulty : settings. Active Camo is totally useless, since if you move now you become : visible again. You’re only invisible when crouch walking or standing : still, which seems to defeat the purpose of this powerup in the first : palce. Armor Lock is pretty useless too all things considered, since if : you’re about to die, the Covenant aren’t going to forget about you when : you activate it – they’ll just pop you off after it wears out. You didn't say anything about the drop shield. I actually found it the most useful. It was easier than searching for health packs, and when I got overwhelmed I could throw it down and have a chance to guage the situation. It's mobile cover that can also heal you. It made fighting hunters a lot easier, and gives some great opportunities for cat and mouse play with them and elites. It also let me take more risks because I could throw it down and recharge if I got in over my head. If it wasn't for the drop shield I'd still be fighting those zealots at the end of PoA.
