Well... to some extent I think it's unavoidable prequelitis. Going backwards I think is OK in some areas (no dual wielding) but if Bungie had taken away all the new toys and given us Halo 1's arsenal, I'm not sure everyone would be OK with that either-- unless they gave us the pistol on every mission.

And Bungie has full right to

Heh-- sorry, that was really not my intent. I can't even say for sure Reach is good because my copy hasn't arrived yet! Just a few more days.
