Re: New Feature in Reach: Auto Mute

In Response To: New Feature in Reach: Auto Mute (Anton P. Nym (aka Steve))

: Cribbed from ars technica's article on dealing with obnoxious players on
: Xbox Live , recently updated with a comment by ferrex: As for the general
: woes of voice on XBL, we (Bungie) have added an "Auto Mute"
: mechanism that notices, warns, and eventually defaults players to being
: Muted when they enter games if they are muted by enough people over a
: period of time. There's some other stuff in there to prevent cabals of
: players from maliciously muting, but you get the basic idea. It's better
: than a straight up voice ban as you can always un-mute a punished teammate
: if you don't mind opening Pandora's box.
: Bliss. Pure, unadulterated bliss. Even better than Halo 3's "fast
: mute".

: -- Steve'll also take the suggestion to set voice in Reach to "Team and
: Party", which sounds like it'll save precious neurons.

That sounds like a lot better then the voice ban that was in the beta.
